Sex and relationship Therapy IN CHICAGO
Be BARE,

Mental health,

Self-exploration in a safe space
WHO WE ARE
A Black-owned, women-led sex and relationships therapy practice based in Chicago. Growing up without relatable mental wellness spaces in Black and Brown communities led us to create our own nurturing community, empowering others to grow and thrive as their authentic selves. We believe therapy doesn’t have to be scary – it should feel like one of those long, soul-healing conversations with someone you deeply trust. That’s the warm type of vibe we’ve cultivated within our practice.
SEX therapy
Human sexuality is a powerful force when untethered from self-enforced limitations. Not only is Sex Therapy a vital healing tool, it’s also a free space to unveil your authentic desires, creating deeply aligned intimacy. Not to mention, the ripple effect is real: great sex boosts confidence in other areas of your life. Win-win.
RELATIONSHIP therapy
The occasional conflict is a normal part of relationships – we’re human, after all. We work with BIPOC and interracial couples to communicate effectively and better understand each other, healing from past challenges to grow into an even deeper, loving partnership. We’ll be with you along the whole journey.
individual therapy
Whether you need to reconnect with the real you or discover your individual identity for the first time, individual therapy is your explorative space to become whole. What do you need to feel your best, and how can you achieve that? We’ll answer this one together.
Empower your intimacy in an inclusive space.
WHAT WE DO
We work with Black, Indigenous, and people of color of all gender identities and sexual orientations. We embrace queer and LGBTQIA+, poly individuals and relationships, and are inclusive of BDSM + kink. Whether you come to us as an individual, couple, or polycule – we welcome you to be your innermost self in a safe and comfortable environment. Bare Conversations is a communal space where individuals of marginalized communities are seen, understood, and nurtured.

No awkward silences or clinical-looking clipboards here – just good talks with someone who simply gets it. Dr. Maia Easley, LMFT, CST founded Bare Conversations with the goal of creating safety surrounding sex in Black and Brown communities. That’s the “why” behind our practice: to answer the need for therapy among underrepresented groups in the mental wellness industry. Using strength and evidence-based psychology techniques, Maia helps clients move forward through life’s inevitable challenges to level up into a healthier, self-loving version of themselves.
